Nature never ceases to surprise me. My blog today features a little hedgehog who lost his way and didn't realise he shouldn't be out during the day!
Bubble wrap found to save our hands as we moved him to keep him safe until we found out the best way to care for Tiggy and his spikes!
Cat food or sugar free muesli could safely be left for later with a shallow dish of water to help give him energy and a drink when he emerged at night.
Please never leave a hedgehog milk.
A cardboard box with a hole cut then placed under the trees covered with twigs Tiggy's mobile home!
Everything else took second place as we raced to provide his little place. Robin was on the scene to watch what was happening, perhaps with his beady eye on the cat food!
Words can't describe how much we are enjoying the variety of nature visiting our garden. No pesticides, carefully selected plants and shrubs attracting birds, butterflies, hedgehogs to a wildlife friendly habitat.
Autumn 2011 has only just begun.
