I've been quiet, moments are precious, memories poignant. Life races in this mad Christmas rush.
I watch outside the little birds unaware, they are hungry, they are thirsty we help to provide their daily needs. A thrush appears, I smile at her elegance as she pecks an apple.
I watch people, most rushing past without acknowledgement of who is around. I sit watching, thinking how much I want to care for those who are lonely or sad at this time of year.
I have selected this photo taken the other day. Study these faces, what do they say?
Today I missed an opportunity of a photo which told a story to me. Oh how I wish I could represent what I saw with a photo as words don't add the emotion I had in my eye.
An elderly man, boots worn and dirty grasping a new blanket he had just bought. He may have been cold last night, spent his money today on something to comfort and warm.
Did he have anyone at home, was he lonely or just going about his business?
I will never know and don't have a photo to show as I was too busy watching the road.
