Time out over the weekend
Time to think
Time to see......the world around me but best of all quality time with dad!
As we enter into one of the busiest times of year the world spins by me. Am I the only one to try and justify why commercialism and materialistic things seem more important than anything else?
December a time to remember, a time to celebrate, a time to reach out and care.
I have stepped back, checked reality, know I need to focus on what is important to me. I miss a lot of things which I cannot replace, apart from my memories which I have locked away. Families brought together yet do we have the closeness we should have all year round?
I watched families on Saturday, took a lot of photos as I felt the genuine care these families had for each other. Children were hugged, people met with smiles and conversations were shared, no-one noticed my camera so nobody posed with a smile. I like that!
I sit silently, typing and trust I will keep my focus on things which are very important which cannot be bought at any price.
I have chosen beautiful textiles to represent my blog post. I would love to share the photos of families but sad to say in our world to show these people without their consent would be neglectful of their privacy yet they lent so much quality to my weekend....something they didn't know and my camera reflected.
Perhaps someday I will create a collage of people who paint my world and help me to think and be creative.
I am inspired by people when I have my iPhone camera to hand
Out again this week, what or who will I see?
